Features

Alternating trifoliate leaves. Middle leaf can be slightly petiolate. Stem green to red. Produces a compact inflorescence with 5 to 15 flowers. Inflorescence is light to dark yellow. Distinct striations are present on the flower petal surface.

Description

Name is given because it is the smallest of they yellow flowered clover species. Normally produces only 5 to 20 flowers per inflorescence. Other than the general smallness of this plant compared to T. campestre, both species are very similar and can be nearly impossible to distinguish.
