Purple seedhead. Leaf tip blunt pointed. Purple tubers form chain of two tubers.

Description

Considered one of the world’s worst weeds. Does not produce viable seed. More tolerant of mowing than yellow nutsedge, thus more prominent in closely mowed turf. Most difficult sedge to control with herbicides, in general.
