Perennial rhizomatous herb. Leaves orbicular with stem attached to the center of the leaf. Inflorescence a cluster of small white flowers. Fruit an aggregate of seed capsules.

Description

Common weed in coastal turfgrass environments. Plant size can adapt to frequent mowing. For example, leaves can be reduced to approximately 1 cm diameter under fairway management conditions and can expand to 6 to 10 cm when unmowed.
