Features

Winter annual herb. Opposite oblong leaves with toothed margins. Low growing, no more than 8 inches in height at flowering. Plant primarily glabrous. Bilaterally symmetrical flower, white to purple in color. Five sepals remain in star shape after petals dehisce.

Description

Winter annual herb becoming more common in turfgrass and ornamental situations. Very similar to a violet in growth habit. Flower is unique and similar to many mints, such as henbit.
